PROVIDES VALUABLE INSIGHTS INTO SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS TECHNIQUES AND STRATEGIES FOR THE AFRICAN BUSINESS ARENA!

The Journal of African Business is a tri-annual peer-reviewed journal that focus on issues in reference to doing business in and with African nations. This journal - unique in its exclusive focus on African business, its quality, and its emphasis on current issues - will feature high-quality, cross-functional articles from and for academics, practitioners, and policymakers interested in African business. The Journal of African Business provides valuable insights into successful business techniques and strategies for the African business arena, theoretical perspectives, cutting-edge research, and actionable solutions to identified problems of particular interest to policymakers in government and international agencies.

Editor Sam C. Okoroafo, PhD, Professor of Marketing and International Business at The University of Toledo in Ohio, stresses,

"Until now, research on Africa has focused mostly on non-business dimensions (i.e., anthropology, history), and major journals in international business have been reluctant to publish articles focusing on African nations, resulting in a lack of published articles dealing with African business. The Journal of African Business will be a magnate for these articles, providing a much-needed forum in which to share this information."

Targeted toward policymakers in government and international agencies, academics, consultants, and executives, the Journal of African Business will feature articles dealing with functional areas, such as marketing, finance, accounting, technology, information processing, management, and economics. The journal strongly requests studies that compare business issues between African nations or between African nations and non-African nations, one-country studies on African countries/regions and business practices, and book reviews and dissertation abstracts related to African business.

Topics to be covered in the journal include, but are not limited to:

bullet
assessing political risk and strategies for dealing with it
bullet
structural, economic, and political reforms
bullet
successful business (i.e., marketing, management, and accounting) strategies
bullet

Both theoretical/conceptual and empirical contributions with current and up-to-date information that offer managerial insights and/or policy implications will be considered for publication in the Journal of African Business. Articles must emphasize the practical relevance of the issues presented and must be written to appeal to practitioners, academics, and policymakers in a wide variety of fields.
