Dr. Manfred Stach

Dr. Manfred Stach is President of Unilever’s African Business Group (ABG). From 1989-1998, Dr. Stach served as Chairman of Union Deutsche Lebensmittelwerke in Germany and Chairman of Deutsche Unilever. Earlier Unilever-related assignments included Vice Chairman of Chesebrough Pond’s in New York (1987-88), Vice President of Finance in Lever Brothers New York (1980-86), and managerial positions in various categories (foods, household products, personal care products) in Germany. Dr. Stach received his doctorate form Aachen in 1970 and his MBA from the University of Cologne in 1967.
